First Generation (1972-1980)

Fourth Generation (1987-2004) – 16-bit Era

Fifth Generation (1993-2006) – 32-bit/64-bit Era

Sixth Generation (1998-2013) – 128-bit Era

Seventh Generation (2005-2017)
